Today's Interim Pastor Training — $49/person

9:00 AM – 4:00 PM in the Parlor
When a church becomes pastorless, a time of transition begins. The average time without a pastor in a Baptist church is nine to eighteen months. During that time, many of these churches need interim pastors with experience, training and ministry gifts that ensure high-quality leadership. Through the Today's Interim Pastor Training, interim pastors are prepared to lead churches through any type of transition. You must register online in order to attend this event.

What do you do when the demographics of your church do not reflect the demographics of the community that you have been called to reach? What are you doing to build bridges and remove barriers? How do you engage and reach people who are so different? Leading your church to look more like Heaven can be more than just an annual emphasis; it can be a weekly reality. Come and learn from men who have led churches to transition to better reflect and reach their communities. Lunch will be provided only for the first 50 attendees, no registration required.

A Panel Discussion on a Church Planting Pipeline. We will encourage churches of all sizes to be involved in sponsoring, partnering and supporting church plants. We will also talk about developing the pipeline for the next generation of church plants.

Speakers: Kenneth Priest, SBTC and Rodney Harrison, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MBTS)
Join us for the Church Revitalization Dinner, hosted by Kenneth Priest, SBTC director of convention strategies, and Rodney Harrison, MBTS dean of post-graduate studies, distance education and professor of Christian education. During dinner, the hosts will cover the topic of revitalization in the local church and the steps a pastor can take to begin the process. Pastors, deacons and church leaders are encouraged to attend! The SBTC revitalization team will be available immediately after dinner for questions.

NextGen Late Night — $10/person

Speakers: Paul Chitwood, president of the International Mission Board
Pastors and wives 40 yrs. old and younger, join us for late-night coffee and desserts with Paul Chitwood. This will be a laid-back, all-together setting. Childcare is available when requested at pre-registration. Come to connect with other young pastors and wives, interact with Dr. Chitwood and walk away with some free gifts and resources.

Enjoy a good meal and great fellowship as we hear from Juan Sanchez, senior pastor of High Pointe Baptist Church, Austin and president of the SBTC, speak about all that God has done in and through Southern Seminary and Boyce College in the past year. At this year's Criswell Alumni & Friends breakfast, we will host a panel to discuss the unique benefits and challenges of pastoring a "normal" church. Join us and panelists Jared Wellman, Alex Gonzales and Brad Patterson, all of whom pastor (or have pastored) non-megachurches in Texas, as we talk about small staffs, limited budgets and the joy of shepherding God's people in the local church. You will also hear an update on the exciting things happening at Criswell from president Barry Creamer.
