Carrie Bond serves as a Regional Representative for Zone N1. She is passionate about teaching women truth from God's word with authenticity and encouraging women to apply it in everyday life. She embraces the roles God has given her: wife, serving alongside her husband who is the senior pastor of Greenwood Baptist Church in Weatherford; mom of three through the blessing of adoption and homeschool teacher of one, and women's ministry leader at her church. Carrie also works with Surrendering the Secret, a post-abortive ministry, and enjoys speaking at women's events, equipping others in women's ministry and sharing a great cup of coffee. Jennifer Garcia is an SBTC Women's Ministry Representative in Zone N3. She is a pastor's wife and mother of three grown children. She has been serving alongside her husband for 14 years. Prior to that, they worked in evangelism and house church ministries. Her hobbies include reading and baking. She has a passion for encouraging women in ministry, especially pastors' wives. Carolyn May is a wife of 40 years and has served with her husband, Gary, in full-time ministry for over 25 of those years. Gary is the senior pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Longview and together they have two married sons, beautiful daughter-in-loves, and two grand-prize grandchildren, Magnolia and Miles. Carolyn serves on the women's ministry team in her local church, leads women's Bible studies in the church setting, and embraces the role as her husband's most dedicated encourager/cheerleader. Lori Moody is a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, and women’s leader. Lori has a speaking/teaching ministry (www.lorimoody.com) where she speaks to women’s groups in the context of conferences, retreats, banquets etc. Recently, her writing was included in a portion of the book, Join the Insanity: Crazy-Fun Life in the Pastors' Wives Club by Rhonda Rhea. Lori and her husband, Scott, live in Southeast Texas where you might find her playing with her grandchildren, reading, crocheting, or preparing to minister when called upon. Mari Ortega is the wife of David Ortega and the mother of 3 adult children: Sara Hill, Sonia Bourassa, and Joshua Ortega. She has 3 grandchildren and one on the way. For 16 years Mari and David served with the IMB in Jakarta and Bali Indonesia. Mari has served the youth and women’s ministry at Sendero Community Church. She works full time helping Family Caregivers but what really excites her is when God shows her a need in the community and shows her how to help. The Lord has given Mari the opportunity to connect Christians and people in need through volunteer service projects. She has a passion to bridge the gap between Christian women and unchurched women using creative means which have come from the Lord himself. Peggy Osborne is married to Chris Osborne, Senior Pastor at Central in College Station, TX. Having been there over 30 years, they have had the privilege of sharing with countless families and college students who have attended Texas A&M University and Blinn College. Peggy speaks often to educators, parents and women across our state. She and Chris also host yearly retreats for Senior Pastors and their wives to encourage and support them in ministry. Sandra Peoples (M. Div in Women's Studies) and her husband Lee met while attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Lee has pastored churches in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and now Texas. They have two boys, David and James. Since James's autism diagnosis in 2010, Sandra has focused on encouraging special-needs parents through her writing, including her recent book, Unexpected Blessings: The Joys and Possibilities of Life in a Special-Needs Family. She serves at her church as a Bible teacher and is passionate about supporting women who are living out hard stories with the hope we have in Christ. Aimee Shelton is the wife of Ivy Shelton, Pastor of First Baptist Church Waskom and mother to three young men. It has been her joy to know and serve Jesus since she was 7 years old and be a partner in ministry alongside Ivy for over 20 years. Deborah Smith serves as the SBTC Women’s Ministry Representative in Zone N2. She also serves as the lead ministry assistant to the Director of Pastor/Church Relations at the SBTC. Deborah is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity in Women’s Ministry. She is passionate about counseling women and leading them into a Biblical understanding and knowledge of Christ. Deborah serves on both the Women’s Ministry Leadership Team and the Young Adult Leadership Team at Travis Avenue Baptist Church, while co-leading a Young Adult Women’s Bible Study. Kristen Svajda (pronounded Sweeda) is wife to Anthony and mom to Gideon and Grace. She has been loving Jesus since she was 7 years old. Kristen grew up in Fort Worth and currently lives in Stephenville - where her husband is the pastor at Harvey Baptist Church. Kristen is a leader in the women's ministry and also leads Bible studies at Harvey BC. She is also committed to making disciples of new and growing Christian women. Kristen loves to read and study God's word, to enjoy meals with family and friends, and desires to help other women love Jesus more! She represents the SBTC Women's Ministry in Zone E1. Nancy Turner is a seasoned pastor's wife to Terry for over 35 years, the mother of three adult married children, and grandmother of eight. She is a conference speaker, teaches a middle school Bible class, and serves as an adviser for several ministries within her church. Her desire is to inspire women to draw nearer to God by speaking and teaching his word with clarity. In December, 2015, Nancy completed her PhD studies (Family Ministry/Women’s Ministry) at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
