At some point every family has a family portrait taken. It’s a snapshot of the family in that moment. The truth is, families come in all shapes and sizes and too often we as the church have not helped our families understand their role in the home.
The disconnect for many families is the general assumption that the church is responsible for the spiritual development, yet the Word of God has given that responsibility to the parents in the home. We see the church as a partner with parents or a spiritual surrogate when there is no spiritual development in the home.

Steve Stroope will be teaching and leading pastors out of his new book, Tribal Church: Going Big by Leading Small. He will be challenging pastors to lead in the small things and emphasizing the need for pastors to really help our families find true spiritual health.
FAMILY MINISTRY LEADERS
Kurt Bruner is a nationally known speaker in the area of family ministry. A former Focus on the Family vice president, Kurt has aided Lakepointe Church in the ministry to help families. Kurt has done extensive research in the state of what is happening with our families. He has trained leaders all over the country to understand the problem and offer hope for change in our churches.
