Texas NextGen Roundtable & Reception (DFW)

Young pastor and pastor’s wife, we would like to invite you to join us for Roundtable Talks, Dinner, and Panel Discussions Monday November 13, 2017 at Criswell College from 3:30-6:00pm.

Come to interact with Barksdale, Draper, Osborne, Forshee, Lino, Galvan and Creamer as they speak on core competencies of pastoring such as staying sharp in the pulpit, creating a culture of prayer in the church, discipling your family, developing your staff and more. Wives will have a separate breakout session from 3:30-4:45, then join husbands for the 5:00pm dinner (heavy hors d'oeuvres) and panel discussion led by Shane Pruitt. Come to network. Executive Board Meeting (Dallas)

November 15th, 2017

The Executive Board will be meeting in the DFW Area. They convene three times a year to carry out the work of the Convention and hear reports of the missions and ministries of the SBTC. There are forty-four members of the Executive Board. The President, Vice-President and Secretary of the Convention also serve on the Executive Board by virtue of their office.

Operational and legal issues continually distract from the kingdom focus of the church. Recognizing potential pitfalls and staying up-to-date on key issues can keep your church focused on productive ministry.

This seminar will be lead by professional tax accountants with PSK LLC, who specialize in churches. Topics will cover accounting and auditing of the church, top legal issues facing the church, financial/stewardship issues, and building/operational issues.

TX Next Gen WebEX

The Texas NextGen Leadership Network is for any pastor 40 years old and younger. NextGen is an opportunity to network with other young pastors and leaders around the state and to be developed personally as a leader. Throughout the year, there will be five 60-minute video conference calls with a leading ministry specialist to discuss a core competency of pastoring. The special guests will both teach and field questions in order to maximize interaction. All calls are scheduled on Thursdays from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
