Children

Kids On Mission is a collection of missions experiences that you can plug into what you're already doing. Children grades 1 through 6 will learn about exotic destinations, different cultures and what missionaries are doing around the world. They will see how they can be a part of what God is doing, too! KOM Online: If downloading large files is not a problem for you, you can access everything you need for free online. You can explore the world through Kids On Mission episodes right on this site. Be sure to visit often. KOMers all over the country and around the world will continue to post their new missions explorations. You just never know what new adventure will be waiting for you!

Learn about kids in...

  • West Africa  - The children’s lessons are set up for you to lead in a one to two hour session. They contain games, activities, crafts, missionary kid stories, facts and prayer requests for each country. 
  • The Americas
  • The Caravan Adventures - The Caravan stories and media are intended to be very flexible in order to accommodate a variety of needs and children from preschool ages to 5th grade. You can use these materials as a teacher or a parent. Many elements (like coloring sheets) can stand alone, or you can combine a story and video with a few activities — whatever best suits your group or child’s needs. Stories in the Adventures section contain videos, hands-on activities, coloring sheets and more. You can download a story’s complete package or, in many cases, the package for a specific grade level.
  • Central Asia  - This exciting place of snow-capped mountains, thick forests, barren deserts and rolling plains is filled with many different kinds of people. Come and find out how the kids there live their lives, whether they live in bustling cities like Istanbul or in remote villages in the Pamir Mountains. Discover for yourself the kind of games they play, how they say hello, what types of food they eat, and so much more! Most importantly, find out ways in which you can help the kids of Central Asia hear the Good News of our Savior! 
  • North Africa and the Middle East - Get to know these children serving God with their parents among NAME Peoples. You will discover how to pray for them and their friends through their experiences and adventures living overseas.

Drop-in Mission Education (DIME) ,North American Mission Board - Mission Education can fit any setting with DIME, which are 15-20 minute lessons that complement existing children’s ministries.  With SnackPack and BackPack for children, Hi-Speed Mission for youth, and EnterMissions for adults, leaders can utilize this non-traditional option for teaching children, youth, and adults about missions.

  • BackPack lessons - These missions-learning lessons are ready to be dropped into any existing children’s ministry. They last from 5 to 10 minutes and include a mission lesson built around an object pulled froma backpack.
  • SnackPack lessons - These missions-learning lessons are ready to be dropped into any existing children’s ministry.  They last from 15 to 20 minutes and include an activity, mission lesson, and challenge. 
  • Spanish SnackPack lessons - These missions-learning lessons, which originate in Spanish,  are ready to be dropped into any existing children’s ministry.  They last from 15 to 20 minutes and include an activity, mission lesson, and challenge. 

ACTS 1:8 Curriculum (Younger Children) - Designed around the theme of a treasure hunt, children in grades 1-3 will identify themselves as treasure hunters who have received a mission to search for God’s greatest treasures—worshipers from all over the world. They will begin to build a treasure map which defines God’s plan to reach the lost. The plan of salvation will be presented during the study. ACTS 1:8 Curriculum (Older Children) - Children in grades 4-6 will explore Jesus’ Acts 1:8 challenge through this study. Each one-hour session includes leader background material, supplies needed, engaging activities, and an option to journal about their experience. Some sessions offer optional videos. Adult

God's Heart for the Nations - God's Heart for the Nations rips apart the traditional understandings of God's plan for our lives. In eight lessons, author Jeff Lewis lays bare the heart and mind of God, as he combines powerful Scriptures with challenging and provocative questions. Each lesson is followed by a time of meditation and a focus on an unreached people group. If you really knew the heart and mind of God, would you dare to follow Him?

Kingdom Women Kit, Glorify: How God uses women to make Himself known. - This six-week Bible study and companion resources offer women a bigger vision of God’s glory, challenge them to a deeper walk with Jesus, and give practical ideas for how they can share God’s love together.
