People Group Discovery and Engagement Workshop

Who are these strangers next door?   Where did they come from?  What language do they speak?  How can I share Christ with them?  These are a few of the questions that the People Group Discovery Workshop will answer.
Every participant will have the opportunity to go on a people group excursion encounter.  A few excursion encounter examples include Mosque, Buddhist and Hindu Temples, Ethnic Restaurants, Ethnic Markets, Ethnic Apartments, Ethnic Home Meals/Visits, Ethnic Home Bible Studies, etc. (Come prepared to eat lunch out on Saturday.) A workshop in partnership between the International Mission Board, the North American Mission Board, the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and The Met Church

Personalized Training

The SBTC seeks to equip churches in developing effective volunteer missions teams. Discover how to best witness in your target area by learning about worldviews, cultures, outreach tools, and security (if needed). Training is available for both team leaders and team members. Examples of the various types of sessions provided for your missions teams include:

  • Acts 1:8 Training & Strategy Planning
  • Mission Team Building/Training
  • Cross-Cultural Training
  • Prayerwalking
  • English as a Second Language
  • Team Leader Training
