Jerry Pierce serves as communications/public relations associate at the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, a position he has held since September 2003. In his role he serves as managing editor of the bi-weekly Southern Baptist Texan newsjournal. Pierce served five years at the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma and has worked on daily and weekly newspapers. He holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma and a master’s-level certificate in theological studies from Columbia Evangelical Seminary. He is married to Melissa and they have a daughter and two sons.
