This is a time for the pastor and staff or key leadership team to come together for strategic planning for the church. There will be large group time, as well as individual consultations provided by Revitalization leaders to assist in future planning for your church. The cost is $20/person, with a maximum amount of $40 for each church. If you are a Church Revitalization pastor that is involved with us, this event is free for you to attend.
Jim is a Church Organizational Leadership and Management Coach, Consultant and Trainer. Throughout his career Jim has demonstrated a passion for showing Pastors and Ministers how to use organizational tools for church and personal growth and health. Jim’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts from Rhodes University in Memphis, Tennessee and a Masters of Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jim served for over 12 years as Executive Pastor at the historic First Baptist Church of Jackson, Mississippi. Most recently Jim served as Executive Pastor at Brentwood Baptist Church outside Nashville, Tennessee.
Jim Richards was saved and answered the call to preach at age seventeen. He pastored for twenty-one years in Louisiana, later serving as a Director of Missions in Arkansas. He has traveled and ministered in all 50 states and 20 countries. Dr. Richards’ education includes two undergraduate degrees, a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis. Dr. Richards has served as Executive Director of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention since it was formed in November of 1998. He and his wife, June, have three children and three grandchildren.
Jeff was educated in Texas at Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned his master of religious education in 1990. Jeff has been in full-time ministry since 1989, including four years at First Baptist Church, Springdale, Ark., where he served as Executive Pastor before coming to Prestonwood in 2008. Jeff and his wife, Carol, live in Carrollton and have three children, Emily, Brett and Bryce.
