The SBTC aims to empower women in their faith journey and ministry roles by fostering collaboration and growth. The Women’s Ministry offers conferences, leadership training, and creative ideas to equip leaders. Through these resources, women can build partnerships, share insights, and find mutual support. Additionally, this ministry mobilizes women to give and serve, advancing the mission both locally and globally.

  • Laura Taylor

    Women's & Pastor Wives Associate

    Laura Taylor serves as the Women’s Ministry Associate for the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention.

    Laura graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. For the last 25 years, she has been involved in women’s ministry as coordinator, retreat planner and speaker. She teaches for the Cleburne Christian Women Job Corp and teaches God’s word to women at First Baptist Church Alvarado where her husband is pastor. Laura is a trained chaplain for SBTC Disaster Relief and enjoys ministry on deployments but her passion is to “love on” and disciple women to follow Jesus.

    Laura and her husband have two daughters.
