Early in April, the Executive and Administrative committees of the SBTC Executive Board approved the convention’s application for a Paycheck Protection Program grant to ensure continued provision for the SBTC staff. The convention has received that grant and the committee actions stipulated that any financial obligations on the part of the convention will be repaid or forgiven by December 31, 2020.
Executive Board Chairman Danny Forshee said of the grant, “I’m grateful that our SBTC staff was included in the action of our national leadership to protect the financial well-being of workers not only in businesses, but in churches and para-church ministries.”
