Relationships in Evangelism
Some other ways that the SBTC can connect our academic partners’ students and professors to SBTC churches include:
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Texas is the fastest growing state in the nation.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Texas is the fastest growing state in the nation. It has a current population of around 29 million and is home to 4 of the top ten fastest growing cities in the country (San Antonio, Fort Worth, Austin, and Frisco). Texas is growing at a rate of approximately 1,000 people per day and roughly half of these new Texans are migrants. According to U.S. Census Bureau 77% of the adults in Texas claim to be Christian, and if 33% of those are truly born-again, then out of the roughly 29 million people in Texas, about 19.5 million are LOST. The number of lost people in TX would make it the 5th largest State in the U.S.! Clearly, “the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Luke 10:2).” Let us cry out to God in prayer that he would multiply laborers for the Harvest and then say, “Here am I, send me (Isaiah 6:8).”
Through our promotional campaign, and utilizing our video library, digital communications, and written literature, etc., we seek to rally SBTC churches, and especially pastors, to establish, maintain and advance their missional ministries. This will be best accomplished through prayer and the creative collaboration of SBTC churches with professors and students at these academic institutions, as well as our SBTC staff.
Through our “Request2Results” process, SBTC churches may apply for limited financial assistance regarding evangelistic events.
