ministry relationships with other organizations

In order to keep missions and evangelism at the forefront of our work, the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention seeks ministry relationships of like belief and compatible mission to extend the ministry of affiliated churches. Our working relationships with educational institutions, family care ministries, and other related ministries allow us to provide full service to churches without building new institutions.

cooperative ministry relationships

Criswell College was SBTC’s first affiliated relationship. CC provides accredited Bachelor of Arts and Masters-level courses of study with a biblical base.

Jacksonville College is a two year college started by the Baptist Missionary Association of Texas. The college affiliated with the SBTC in 2004.

The Texas Baptist Home is committed to the family. This ministry exists to protect the sanctity of human life and to promote the preservation of the family.

fraternal ministry relationships

The Baptist Missionary Association of Texas

The Baptist Missionary Association of Texas (BMAT) consists of nearly 400 Baptist churches across the state of Texas. BMAT operates the Texas Baptist Home for Children, a state missions department, and a bimonthly publication, Baptist Progress, in Waxahachie, Texas. Jacksonville College, BMAT’s two-year college, is located in Jacksonville.
